2015 Ohio License Plate

This week’s Boyd ebay (LicpL8s) auction current Watcher winner:

This 2015 Ohio restricted license plate – commonly called a yellow “party plate” with red lettering is important because courts and the Bureau of Motor Vehicles required drivers with OVI/DUI suspension or revocation to display them as a condition of limited driving privileges. It acted as a public warning and strict deterrent.

Public Warning: The bright yellow background and red characters made restricted vehicles instantly noticeable to law enforcement and the public.

Deterrence: Designed to create social pressure and discourage repeat offenses by exposing the driver’s suspension status on the road.
