We just returned from the ALPCA meet in Knoxville, Tennessee. Lots of plates and much trading/buying/selling. The official attendance count was 442. We’re already looking forward to Tulsa, Oklahoma ALPCA meet in 2020 and 2021 meet in Covington, Kentucky. I did want to mention that a warning was given re: fake porcelains that seem to be showing up more frequently and have been seen on eBay. Wrong color, sides chipped, discoloration and lack of a verifiable provenance are red flags. It’s very much a Buyer Beware situation.
