At  the 2016 ALPCA international license plate convention in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Tom was able to enjoy his current quest for a license plate from each state for all of our seven grandkids. No, he does not collect to simply obtain one plate from each state for each grandkid for his/her birth year. Tom endeavors to match the birth year and month of birth with a sticker for each grandkid. And, this is being done not only for the U.S. states but also for the Canadian provinces and for U.S. territories! He obtained about 25 more “grandkid plates” at the convention but, just as importantly, he is now processing about 15 “rebounds” or connections made at the convention with ALPCA members who have the plates he needs but not with them at the convention……lots of fun!
